RBI to withdraw 2,000-rupee notes from circulation

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday, May 19, said it has chosen to pull out the Rs 2,000 notes  receipts from dissemination. In any case, the Rs 2,000 group certified receipts will keep on being legitimate delicate

Likewise, the general population might store Rs 2,000 notes into their ledgers or trade them for notes of different divisions at any bank office.

The RBI said exchange of Rs 2,000 bank notes into banknotes of other denominations can be made up to a limit of Rs 20,000 at a time at any bank starting from May 23, 2023.
